She, He, the Other.
This lyrical program weaves together two deeply moving works exposing the pain of anonymous lovers: “She,” “He,” and “The Other.” While Poulenc and Cocteau’s La Voix humaine focuses on a woman’s heartbreak after being abandoned by her lover, Point d’orgue, by Thierry Escaich and Olivier Py, gives voice to the devastated man. Patricia Petibon (She), Jean-Sébastien Bou (He), and Cyrille Dubois (The Other) deliver this emotionally intense love diptych with extraordinary vocal and dramatic commitment, masterfully directed by Olivier Py.
